A SUMMER OF FUN FOR FREE!

Earlier this year, Outer Reef was able to secure funding from the Welsh Government and Pembrokeshire County Council to take 360 local Welsh children surfing and paddle boarding weekly during the School Summer Holidays!

This was a fantastic opportunity for us as a water sports provider to introduce children who may have never been surfing or paddle boarding before to our wonderful world on the water!

We ran our surfing lessons from the renowned Freshwater West Beach and saw some awesome surfing conditions for the kids as well as some bigger, windier days too!

We got out on the water on our SUPS from Tenby North Beach. It was great fun to watch the kids get to grips with paddling and standing up! The wobbles undoubtedly led to lots of falling in and jumping off and it's safe to say heaps of fun was had!

The Welsh Government and Pembrokeshire County Council ‘Summer of Fun’ programme was aimed at children 7-18 who had never tried these sports before. The sessions were a huge success and we saw a lot of smiling faces!
